Member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association

All ATA rules and regulations will govern all points not specifically mentioned in the MSA 2008 Shoot Book. All decisions pertaining to each shoot will be made by the shoot management. All events will be shot 50 targets per trap. Doubles will normally be shot in conjunction with the days events.

Daily fees include the ATA fee of $2 and the MSSA fee of $1.50. In addition the Maryland State Sportsmen’s Association levies a charge of $1 per 100 targets for “automatic trap fee”.

The usual trophies and options are available for each shoot. For details refer to the 2008 MSA Shoot Book available at the club house.

7 Events over three days beginning with 500 doubles on Friday; 200 singles, 100 handicap and 100 doubles on Saturday; 100 singles, 100 handicap and 100 doubles on Sunday.

Delaware State Shoot

May 23rd through May 26

Friday’s four events consist of a 100 target handicap, a 100 target singles,  a 100 target handicap, and 100 doubles. Saturday will be the doubles class championship followed by 100 handicap and 100 singles. Sunday will be the 200 target singles championship. 100 target  doubles championship followed by the 100 target handicap championship is scheduled for Monday.    Click here for results.

Maryland State Shoot Warm-up

June 13 through 15

The three events on Friday include 200 singles, 100 handicap and 100 doubles. On Saturday there will be 100 handicap targets and 200 singles. Sunday has 100 singles, 100 handicap and 100 doubles. Click HERE for results.

The Maryland State Shoot will be conducted over a five day period beginning on 25 June and ending on 29 June 2008. The complete details, including events and trophies can be found in the MD State Shoot Book.

July 11 through July 13, 2008

Friday’s events include 100 handicap targets, 200 16 yard targets and 100 doubles. Saturday’s events include 100 handicap and 200 16 yard targets. 100 16 yard targets start off Sunday’s program followed by the 100 target handicap championship and the doubles championship.

Crab Shoot Championship

August 1 through August 3, 2008

Friday is marathon day! There will be 300 16 yard targets and 200 doubles targets. Saturday will offer 200 16 yard targets, 100 handicap and 100 doubles targets. 100 16 yard, 100 handicap, and 100 doubles targets conclude the shoot on Sunday.

Saturday, after the events, the Millington Sportsmen’s Association will serve steamed crabs to all shooters and their families.  Click HERE for results.

Special State Fall Handicap

August 30 and 31, 2008

The Maryland State Sportsmen’s Association presents the State Fall Handicap.

Saturday presents a full day of shooting, including  four events; 100 handicap, 100 singles, 100 handicap, and 100 doubles. On Sunday there will be 100 singles, 100 handicap and 100 doubles.

Friday’s events begin with 100 handicap targets and then 100 16 yard targets. 100 doubles targets finish the daily program. One event on Saturday—200 16 yard targets. Sunday concludes the shoot with 100 16 yard, 100 handicap and 100 doubles targets.
